San Francisco Cloisters, Sorrento When it comes to atmospheric surrounds, you can't go past the 14th-century San Francisco Cloisters. There's a pretty, flower-filled courtyard, the architecture dates between the Gothic and Renaissance periods and, because it's in the centre of town, it's easy to get to. Plus, there are public gardens right next door for your first 'Mr and Mrs' photos.
Villa Fondi, Piano di Sorrento Villa Fondi's the spot for couples not worried about being upstaged by the scenery. The whitewashed villa and its geranium-filled parklands look out across the Bay of Naples and towards Mount Vesuvius. So, between 'do you' and 'yes' you can sneak a peek at Italy's jewelled coastline.
Positano, the Amalfi Coast Romantics go weak at the knees at the mention of 'Positano'. So, imagine kicking off your married life here. We've got the spot to exchange your vows where your family and friends will be as wowed by the views, as they are 'the dress'.
Maiori Town Hall, MaioriSet in the Amalfi Coast, this pretty seaside town is one of historic beauty. As for the Town Hall, it's in the 18th century Palazzo Mezzacapo, in the heart of Maiori. You'll say your vows on the ceremonial room on the first floor, where the wall are lined with frescoes. Or, you can get married in the picture perfect garden.
Amalfi & Ravello
Towards Conca dei Marini in a panoramic position on a coastal cliffside is the glorious setting of Amalfi.
With small fisherman dwellings, whitewashed villas situated on the cliff face and lovely Resort with some of the most spectacular views that lead down to the colourful centre, filled with designer boutiques and street side cafés - this is an absolutely gorgeous location.
You have the choice to relax in any one of the resorts in the Neapolitan Riviera, or hire a car and enjoy a combination of this most beautiful stretch of Italy's coast. The drive between Sorrento and Amalfi has the most spectacular views as the road winds up and down the coastal hillside. Best known for its dominant coastal views, Ravello is about 15 minutes drive inland from Amalfi.
This small aristocratic town is in an elevated position with some of the best views of the coast but still relatively uncommercialised with a lovely main square, a handful of shops and historic villas.
Weddings can be held Monday-Friday in the mornings. The town hall needs to be visited a few days before the wedding.
Sorrento
The enchantment of Sorrento, the legendary 'Land of Sirens' hits you on arrival. Its position above the sea creates panoramic views of the stunning coast.
Civil ceremonies in Sorrento take place at the Cloister of San Francesco in the historical centre of Sorrento.
Weddings can also be conducted at the Town Hall Cloisters from Monday to Friday from 11am-1pm and Tuesday & Thursday afternoons from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, on the hour. It is also possible to have your wedding on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons for an extra cost of €300.
