Villino La Quiete is a beautiful holiday home located between Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. It is 60 metres squared and can accommodate up to 4 guests in two double bedrooms. The property is immersed in vegetation – surrounded by olive and citrus trees.

Villino La Quiete is well located as it is halfway between Sorrento and Positano – making it the perfect place to make the most of the local sights. It is ideal for day trips to Sorrento, which is 8km away, Positano, 11km away, and all along the Amalfi Coast. Its position means that you can also visit Pompeii and Naples. There is the wonderful beach of Alimuri which is just 5km from the property in Meta’ di Sorrento. Along this beach road, there are also many delicious ‘trattorias’ where you can sample the local Italian cuisine.

The property has been beautifully refurbished to a high standard  and taste. All the internal space is located on the ground floor level. There is an open plan living/dining room with a kitchenette which has a dishwasher and all the essentials you need. Here you will also find a TV, a sofa and a dining table with four chairs. There is also a utility room with a fridge/freezer and washing machine. There are two stunning double bedrooms which are both ensuites with a shower. Both bedrooms have TVs and access into the garden. There is also a third bathroom with a shower.

From the open plan living/dining room, there is direct access to the wonderful garden where you can dine ‘al fresco’ whilst enjoying the fantastic sea view of the Gulf of Naples and the islands of Ischia and Procida in the distance. The decked area has a dining table and chairs as well as sofas and armchairs to enjoy an ‘aperitivo’ before dinner or a post-dinner drink whilst enjoying views of Sorrento and the sea. There is even a BBQ. All the outside space is private and there is also shade during those long, hot summer days. The private swimming pool (6 metres long by 3 metres wide and 1.20 metres deep) offers a wonderful opportunity to cool down and sunbathe on the sun loungers provided.

A car is recommended and if you have one, you can park it in one of the two allocated parking spaces. One of the spaces, for larger vehicles, is approximately 100 metres from the public road and approximately 150 metres from the villa. There is a 'short cut' on foot to the villa. The second parking space, for smaller vehicles,  is along a narrower, private drive and is approximately 20 metres from the villa. Close to here, there is the swimming pool and 17 shallow steps to access Villino La Quiete. There is a ramp, which can be used for luggage, instead of the steps. There will be someone on hand to help you carry your luggage along the footpath.

Mountain paradise

We were blown away by this accommodation. The private grounds were huge, we couldn't believe how much space we had all to ourselves. The views were spectacular and the outside decked area was absolute tranquility. I could spend my entire life sat out there. The facilities inside provided everything we needed and having three separate showers was ideal for a family. The host was very amenable and friendly. I would say that a car is an absolute necessity if you want to venture out and there are a lot of steps that may be a struggle for those less physically able. Neither of these were an issue for us at all though and we loved the location. Being able to escape the hustle and bustle of the day's vaunts into the busy towns and cities to the peace and solitude of this mountain paradise was idyllic. I'd highly recommend this place and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

"Villino was an excellent place"

Dear Alfonso, dear Nunzia We would like to thank you for the great hospitality. The Villino was an excellent place to come down in the evening, as the days can get very busy. The Villino La Quiete is a lovely small house, perfect for two couples or a family. It is surrounded by olive trees and has a beautiful view of the sea. For breakfast and dinner with enjoyed a stunning view to Naples and the Vesuv. As traffic is very busy in Italy, it was always great to come home, calm down and cooking a delicious dinner with local food. The local manager provided us where to buy fish, bread, cheese etc. and let us taste homemade olive oil and crema di limone - yummy! We were even invited for a local dessert. Whenever we had question, we got a quick reply. The kitchen is well equipped, however you need to bring your own spices. A great plus is the bbq. The house has three bathrooms, two bedrooms with a double and two single bed (can be arranged together) and a living room. We actually never used the living room, as it was best hanging out on the cool terrace. Everything was perfect, only the beds were not so comfortable, we could feel the wire in the mattress. From the Villino it takes about 1h to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuv, 40min to Positano, 15min to Sorrento by car (always depending on traffic ;-) If you can choose your car, and you definitely need one, be aware that roads can be really narrow and corners sharply. We had a great time and warmly recommend staying at this beautiful Villino La Quiete. However, the grill together with the indication of local fish sellers is a super plus, wed enjoyed great dinners! Thank you Nunzia for informing us about everything and the lovely dessert, it made the stay even better! Thank you for the great hospitality!

Thank for your review, Monja. We are so pleased that you had a wonderful time at Villino La Quiete - both enjoying the villa and the service and hospitality you received. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, we cannot provide spices and other condiments as we have done in previous years. The narrow roads are characteristic of the Sorrento and Amalfi Coast and the views the coastal roads offer are world- renowned. Thank you for your feedback about the mattresses. We always welcome guests' feedback as we are continuously looking to improve our service and the quality of what we offer. The mattresses are special orthopaedic mattresses so they are harder. However, based on your feedback, we will change them for non-orthopaedic ones so that are more comfortable. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future.

"Perfect place for our vacation in the region"

Perfect place for our vacation in the region. We were able to visit Pompeii Herculaneum Naples and further south Positano and its magnificent Amalfi coast. A good restaurant is located near the villa with a welcome worthy of Italy!

Bella vacanza. Da rifare!

Buona l'accoglienza e grande cordialità. Villino immerso nella natura con vista sul golfo di Napoli. Aria fresca e pulita con piscina adeguata. Ideale per una vacanza in pieno relax e lontano dal caos cittadino.

"We really enjoyed the house"

The house is located on a very nice location with a great view. At the terrace you can see Naples and the Gulf of Naples , the islands Ischia and Procida. When we arrived, the fridge was filled with lovely home made fresh lemon drink & limoncello in the fridge. But also lovely homemade olive oil and marmelade in the kitchen. Restaurants are near by but also Meta, with a great local Butcher, Bakery, Patticheria and vegetables we bought on the street. The terrace has a BBQ and the house has a complete kitchen with a big fridge for enough cool drinks. Both sleeping rooms are equipped with Air-con and the power consumption for the house is minimal. Be aware that from the Parking place it is still 77 steps up: Welcome to Amalfi ! Also the swimming pool is around 15 steps down again from the terrace. The WIFI was very poor so is your mobile provider so bad connections to the www. We really enjoyed the house & the area with our 2 children ( 8 & 14 years) and looking forward to visit again.

"Very much recommend the villa and area, we hope to return soon"

We had a fantastic holiday in this lovely villa. It is well equipped with everything you need and the view from the deck across the bay of Naples is just stunning. The villa and gardens are very well kept and despite having some rain on the first few days we were able to sit under a covered are in the garden to enjoy the outdoors. The nearest restaurant, Zio Sam is just a short walk and was very friendly with great pizza - they were especially good with the kids (8&11). The steps were no problem for us but there was a ramp as well if needed...if you’re staying on the Amalfi coast get used to steps! Nunzia was very hospitable and we appreciated the fruit and limoncello which was delicious.

"Good house"

There is a lot of space around the house and as a location it is very suitable to visit the Amalfi coast. The house had enough space for up to 4 adults. Nunzia is very helpful.

Thank you for your review - we always welcome guests' feedback. We are pleased that liked the villa's location for visiting the local sites. We are pleased that you enjoyed the Sorrento and Amalfi Coast.
