The villa lies on the top of a hill, about 300 meters above sea, on the beautiful sea of the Natural Oasis of Punta della Campanella. Therefore it is in a peaceful area in the middle of Massa Lubrense and Sant’Agata sui due Golfi - an unspoiled landscape of countryside with citrus and olive groves in the heart of the Sorrentino Peninsula. The property is also only a few minutes drive from to the centre of Sorrento (10 min) and Positano (20 min); the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. A few kilometers from the villa, is the bay of Nerano with its pebble beach, where guests will enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Gulf, fresh fish meals, and boat trips to the magical coves and inlets, which form part of the Marine Protected Area, Capri island or along the Amalfi Coast.

On the ground floor, you have a large open space with two luxury sofas, comfortable chairs, Flat TV, stereo and computer facilities for listening to music and relaxing. The living room also has a fireplace, located in front of panoramic windows, enabling you to enjoy romantic moments. The dining area is equipped with an 18th century English style dining table for 8/10 people. Next to the dining area, there is a very well equipped kitchen, furnished in the rustic style of the Amalfi coast! A service bathroom is also located on this floor.

A wide, panoramic terrace runs around the main house, with a trellis, which is shaded by a lush, climbing vine. This terrace has a table decorated with hand-made tiles in Vietri style and chairs for 8/10 people. Here you can have 'al fresco' dinners or breakfast facing the amazing view of Nerano Bay and Gulf of Salerno. On the other side, there are two lounge areas with two comfortable sofas and an armchair where you can admire a fantastic sunset with a cocktail or a glass of wine and appetizers at sunset or just after dinner in the moonlight. There is also a wide grass space and another large panoramic terrace. All the furniture is made in stylish wrought iron.

Going down, there is a solarium and the swimming pool. All the area is surrounded by olive trees, bougainvilleas and Mediterranean plants to guarantee the maximum privacy in a pleasant ambiance, whilst admiring the astonishing view of Li Galli Islands and the Amalfi Coast. The pool area is split in two levels. The upper level is comprised of a living area with a sofa, a cocktail bar, a kitchenette and a lunch area. The lower level is comprised of the pool itself and a solarium equipped with sun beds. A dressing room and a bathroom with a shower are also available in this area.

For larger groups of 8 or more people, the villa also has a large annex which is an independent apartment with a private outdoor area with sea view. It also has a living room with large french windows that give a spectacular sea view and a kitchenette equipped with a gas stove, fridge/freezer and a microwave oven. There are three bedrooms, two of which are ensuite. There is one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms (which can be made into double beds on request). "I would HIGHLY recommend this vacation rental!"

We just returned from 2 wonderful weeks at this villa! This villa is advertised here as 4 bedrooms, but there are actually 7 bedrooms ( sleeps 13 without using couches or trundle beds), with 7 bathrooms ( including one by the pool). There were 10 of us, age 15 to 80, and the house was perfect! There are large areas where we could all gather, as well as several private sitting areas for quiet time. The multi-level set up of this villa is ideal for privacy when you want it, although there are many stairs. Our favorite areas to gather were the large outdoor dining area overlooking the sea, shaded by a pergola of mature wisteria vines ( sorry we missed this area in bloom) adjacent to the well appointed kitchen, or the seating area on the wide stone deck area overlooking the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea, The views are unbelievable, overlooking the Il Gallo Lungo islands ( Sirenum scopuli, the islands of the Sirens from Greek mythology, where the Sirens lived, three sea nymphs who lured sailors to their death with a bewitching song, enticing them to sail into the island's rocks), and to the west, the end of the Sorento peninsula. Sunsets are breathtaking, as are the dawns! The pool is perfect, with a comfortable private pool area for sunbathing. There are nice shaded sitting areas as well. The gardens and flowers were beautiful. This villa is a great homebase to tour Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and Sorento. Carmine, our wonderful and helpful property manager, arranged a great boat trip to Capri, and on another day a van to drive us along the Amalfi coast. Carmine also arranged trasportation to two great local restaurants. We had three rental cars, but didn't feel secure driving after dark up into the hills on very narrow roads, Carmine's restaurant transportation was ideal. From our initial email inquiries about renting this villa, the owner was responded quickly and thoroughly. I would HIGHLY recommend this vacation rental! The only bad part of this villa is having to leave!

"Living in paradise is the only way I can describe the holiday & we were very sad to leave"

Beautiful villa set in the perfect location with panoramic views of the sea & Amalfi Coast. Villa is very spacious - it was great to have the annex for our daughters & their friends. The infinity pool is a good size with spectacular views. Many thanks to Alfonso in the Uk & Carmine in Italy for all their excellent help in ensuring we had a fab time. Would recommend a private boat trip to Capri, chef to cook in the house, Pompeii & Vesuvius, Amalfi Coast tour & most definitely the wine tasting!! Living in paradise is the only way I can describe the holiday & we were very sad to leave.

"Villa in an absolutely perfect location in the heart of Amalfi Coast"

Villa Generosa proved to be a very comfortable villa in an absolutely perfect location in the heart of Amalfi Coast. Everything you need is within few minutes drive; Sorrento, Sant'Agata sui due Golfi and Nerano Bay, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Positano and Amalfi Coast. Restaurants, bakery and groceries right nearby (less then 10 mins drive). The owners were welcoming, enthusiastic and very helpful, not to mention scrupulously honest. They insisted on reimbursing me for the few euro left on the loaner cell phone!

"I would recommend it to anybody"

We were a party of 7 friends staying over Christmas time for over a week and found the utterly charming Villa Generosa was near-perfect for what we were after. We enjoyed very much cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, including using the lovely homely Italian platters and dishes for presenting in the dining room. Exploring the local shops was a delight for grocery shopping (butcher, dairy/cheese shop, fishmongers, greengrocers, bakeries, fresh pasta shops, list goes on). No problems arranging our Christmas feast. We ended up dining at home in the evening most nights as drivers in our party were understandably not very confident driving along the access lane at night, but I wouldn't let driving down a narrow country lane put you off this place. It allows you to be in a lovely quiet place with the most breathtakingly stunning views over the Med and coast you could ask for. The location affords the chance of good daytrips and exploring to various great places, or like me you could spend the time on the terrace with a pot of lemon tea, amazing nibbles and a book. I'd like to make special mention to Carmine who for a very reasonable price came over one evening with a lovely elderly lady friend and cooked (from scratch) and prepared a marvellous meal of local fayre. What was really great about that was, apart from the obvious gastronomical delight, he happily explained what was special about the food in connection to the region- and then cleaned everything up at the end of the night plus we didn't have to go anywhere as we were already home! I can only imagine what this place would be like in the summertime with the terraces and pool. I would recommend it to anybody.

"Wow, what a view"

The villa was really lovely. We had trouble initially finding the meeting point with Carmine due to a problem with the sat nav thinking a major road was closed. Carmine was really helpful and understanding. When we found him around 19:00 we were so relived as I'm sure he was. We had missed any opportunity to buy food on arrival but he arranged for a free pickup for us to go to a local restaurant. What a life saver. Thanks Carmine. Negotiating the lane in a 9 seater van was an experience in the dark when we first arrived. During the week the locals would normally reverse back but I had to twice which was a little difficult. Anyone with a 7 seater shouldn't have any problems. The area around the villa is great and the drive down to Sorrento on several occasions was an easy drive. Our cleaner (sorry I did not find out her name) was really hard working. I would also like to thank Alfonso at Naples Villas for answering all my questions and being really helpful. This villa is worth it for the views alone and would thoroughly recommend it. Thanks again Carmine & Alfonso.

"I would stay in the Villa Generosa again in a heartbeat"

I stayed at Villa Generosa during a research trip to Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. I was traveling with my family and appreciated having a safe, secure villa in a good area. I particular liked the location (within a 15-20 mins drive of the Sorrento and Nerano Bay), the Internet was fast, and the nearness of restaurants, bakeries, and small shops. Luca the owner was extraordinarily friendly and accommodating, and the rooms spotlessly clean. I would stay in the Villa Generosa again in a heartbeat. It is the perfect villa for a family holiday or a couple.

"Wonderful flowers everywhere"

My husband booked the Villa for a surprise Big Birthday for me and also invited friends and relatives and our daughter. We had been to Sorrento many years ago and always wanted to come back. From the minute I entered the Villa I was enthralled with the traditional feel of it, but when we went downstairs into the living room I was met with an arched window with the most spectacular view which just simply took my breath away of the Amalfi coast bathed in sunshine. The setting of this villa and the grounds is just magical and all our party were blown away. Yes its a bit out, however Carmine could not have been more helpful and ensured we were taken to get groceries and supplies. My husband has also arranged for Carmine to come and cater a special birthday meal for us which was just fantastic. The food was just superb and what a special treat. I will never forget my birthday in the Villa Generosa. What we also could not get over was the sheer peace and tranquillity of the villa and all our party were able to relax and just simply enjoy the panoramic views from the pool and the well tended gardens with the wonderful flowers everywhere. There were so many different seating areas in and around the villa that everyone could spread put and enjoy their own space if they wanted. My husband would also like to thank Alfonso for attending to all the original enquires for this surprise occasion and always his quick reply. Trust me when I say this was a holiday of a lifetime, you will not regret staying here.

"We would rent the villa again in a minute"

The villa is spacious and comfortable with a modern bathroom and fantastic stove. We did not cook...but it was a great stove. We slept well as the location for walks and seeing things was great fun. We would rent the villa again in a minute. The landlord is amazingly helpful in every was imaginable ...from fixing the internet connection to bringing us Italian coffee to enjoy. It does not get better than that!
