   Distances :

In Sant'agata everything is close by: restaurants, bars, shops and banks. The restaurant, Don Alfonso, one of the most famous restaurants in Europe, is only 300 metres away. The sea is only 6 km away, the port, the railway station and the centre of Sorrento (with fast hydrofoils for excursions) are 7 km from the villa. The bus stop to the beach and Sorrento centre is 200 metres from the villa.

With its 42 kilometre stretch of gently sloping coastline and white pebbled-beaches, the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento Riviera are an 'earthly paradise' with breathtaking beauty.

AMALFI COAST: One of Italy's most spectacular coastlines begins after Sorrento, runs through Positano and continues until it reaches Amalfi. Looking along the tall cliffs and down into the sapphire sea, takes your breath away.

SORRENTO: Sorrento offers wonderful views of the entire bay of Naples and the Island of Capri. There are beautiful beaches, bars surrounding Piazza Tasso, great shops and a fragrant citrus purfume from near-by trees.Sorrento has narrow streets and quiet squares, like Piazza Tasso which is brimming with excellent restaurants, bars and cafés. There are many trendy shops from one-off boutiques to top names including Max Mara, Gucci and Armani. From Sorrento you can take coaches or hovercrafts to Amalfi, Positano, Ischia and Capri.

POSITANO: A vibrant village with narrow, colourful buildings which cascade like a waterfall down a vertiginous hill to the sea. Positano's town centre meanders down to the waterfront, where a profusion of cafes, bars and restaurants sell fresh seafood. The beach air is filled with the perfume of orange, almond blossom and jasmine.

AMALFI: Once the most important trading port in the southern Italy, Amalfi is in the ravine of the Mulini Valley, its churches, towers and arcaded houses rising above the small harbour. The town's Duomo dominates a long flight of steps and embraces a picturesque piazza stretching to its seafront. A wonderful contrast between fine beaches in front and tall cliffs behind.

CAPRI: Capri offers panormamic vistas at every turn, picturesque eateries with local seafood and blue grottos hidden under the limestone cliffs. A trip to Capri is ideal for a one-day excursion from Sorrento with the hydrofoil. Capri is, unquestionably, the holiday princess of the Italian islands: idyllic and rugged with its shimmering Blue Grotto and cliffs that descend down into the sea. Capri has trendy jewellery shops and designer boutiques.

POMPEII & VESUVIUS: Pompeii is one of the most important Roman archaeological sites in the world and Vesuvius is the only active volcano in Europe. Pompeii and Herculaneum are cities buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and re-discovered in the 18th century. It is possible to drive to 3,200 feet and then trek to its summit to enjoy the mesmerising views of the entire gulf of Naples.
SHOPPING: The Amalfi coast and Sorrento Peninsula offer unique local, hand-crafted produce; varieties of limoncello (lemon liquer), coral jewellery and artifacts, inlaid wooden pictures and jewellery boxes, ceramics and real leather shoes. Don't miss browsing among the typical little shops that line the narrow village streets selling handmade items on which these beautiful surroundings are reproduced.

RESTAURANTS: You will be roughly 1.5 km (one mile) from Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, where you will find restaurants, shops and the SITA bus stop. You really are spoilt for choice! Wherever you go you can sample genuine local dishes and wines prepared according to tradition from fine wines, pasta and fish dishes to original Italian pizzas.
You can enjoy a pizza and an Italian beer or glass of wine for less than £10 a head. Alternatively, you can experience the delicious, freshly caught seafood and more up market restaurants, which offer a range of pasta and seafood specialities.

BEACHES: The Amalfi coast offers sandy beaches, crystal-clear seawater, rocky coastlines and charming marinas. There are so many beaches to choose from! For enthusiasts of marine life, diving centers operate in all seasons, with snorkeling and scuba equipment.

Mrs Maynard - Villa Paolo
Thank you for a wonderful week. The weather was exceptional, the villa welcoming and in an excellent position close to the village of Sant’Agata. Our family will have many wonderful memories for a long time. On a separate note, thank you too you for resolving the issue of our son’s ‘lost’ Nintendo bag with games. The service that you have given is over and above that expected and I really do appreciate the time and effort that you have put into this to ensure that we will shortly have this back safe and sound – one very happy little boy! A personal service that is exceptional. Many thanks and hope we meet again Kind regards Kerry Maynard

David Ayling - Villa Paolo
For the second time in two years we had the pleasure of staying at this Villa so there must be something right. Wonderful views of the hills and Vesuvious and Sant a'gata has all that one needs. This Villa enjoys having people staying in it and the kitchen purrs as one cooks or potters around - the feeling of it being yours as one closes the gate is wonderful. Just one criticism the large garden at the end/side of the Villa needs some attention, however the apples were superb. Will be back again soon.

Bernie O Donoghue - Villa Paolo
The welcome and help we got from Ersilia and Berta was excellent...they gave us details of bus and train times and also boats to Capri. The villa is lovely....spacious, cool and the pool is fabulous with lots of deck chairs and an umbrella to sit under, it\\\'s very private, near the village , would love to go back!

Mr Athawes - Villa Paolo
A good house to stay for a fantastic holiday" We have just nice thing to say about the service from the property owner. The villa are perfect for two families or a group of friends that want peace and quiet combined with private pool, close to village and easy access to Sorrento. Either by car or bus. Bus stop are just five minutes walk from the gate of the villa. Very nice place to stay if you want to go to Sorrento, Positano/Amalfi, Capri or even Napoli and Pompeii. We were very happy to stay here and would love to come back another year.

David Wright - Villa Paolo
As good as expected" So often holiday destinations can be a dissappointment. The amalfi coast lived up to all my expectations and staying in a small town away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal towns gave us the relaxation we craved. The house we rented was really well appointed and in a lovely position.

Mr Hafnor - Villa Paolo
Our summer holiday are finally over, now its back to work. I remember you asked me to send you an e-mail when we were back in Norway, please let me know what you ment, and I will send you an mail. I can surely tell you that our holiday in Sant Agatha/Sorrento area were fantastic. Beautiful scenery, warm weather/water, nice house and nice people. We would love to come back another year! Med vennlig hilsen

Mrs Blanchard - Villa Paolo
Fantastic location. Sant Agata is a small hill top town, very Italian. Lovely walks on traffic-free paths. (Sunflower guide is very useful). Easy train journey from Sorrento to Pompeii. Good bus links to Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi. We did not hire a car, no need. Villa is furnished well, very much as a family home. Nice pool, though in the shade morning and evening. The villa owners were helpful and friendly

Mr Ayling - Villa Paolo
May I say what a wonderful time my family and I had at the villa  that we rented from you at Sant'Agata this last week, it truly is a lovely location. I would also wish to thank your team, especially Stephanie, who looked after the swimming pool. Finally, thank you very much and we look forward to visiting Sorrento again very soon. With Best Wishes
