Villa "La Pace" is a splendid, newly refurbished building which lies in a magnificent setting where nature is combined with elegance in Colli di Fontanelle, a hill hamlet of Sant'Agnello which is near the famous and refined Sorrento and the fashionable Positano. Villa La Pace is surrounded by the enchanting turquoise of the Amalfi coast and the scent of the lemon trees. The spectacular setting of the Villa La Pace  is only 3 km from Sorrento and less than 7 km from Positano.
From the road leading to the villa, you will enjoy spectacular views of the Sorrentine Peninsula below you, the bay of Naples and the Vesuvius in the background, the Amalfi Coast, Positano, Praiano and the golf of Salerno to the south.
From the villa, you can admire the famous "Li Galli", three islands where the legendary mermaids bewitched the sailors by singing, causing a lot of ships to crash into the rocks.
During the burning hours of the day, the sea and the sky tremble in the intense blue and wonderfully hot and bright climate. A gentle and welcoming breeze rises in the evening!

SORRENTO: It is a much longed for by tourists from around the world. The best way to see this beatutiful town is to walk between the major shopping streets, the quaint old town and the narrow streets filled with specialty shops, stopping to savor a glass of Limoncello on a bench overlooking the sea. Culturally, you are simply spoiled for choice. In the main square, you can admire the statue of the patron saint, St. Antonino, and the monument to Torquato Tasso. In every corner of the city, there are churches to visit: the Cathedral, Dedicated to Sts. Philip and James, the Basilica of St. Antonino, whose sacristy contains a Neapolitan Crib from 700AD and a silver statue of the saint, the Cloister of St. Francis, which combines various architectural motifs from the late Gothic to Renaissance periods.

With its 42 kilometre stretch of gently sloping coastline and white pebbled-beaches, the Amalfi Coast is an 'earthly paradise' with breathtaking beauty.

AMALFI COAST: One of Italy's most spectacular coastlines begins after Sorrento, runs through Positano and continues until it reaches Amalfi. Looking along the tall cliffs and down into the sapphire sea, takes your breath away.

POSITANO: A vibrant village with narrow, colourful buildings which cascade like a waterfall down a vertiginous hill to the sea. Positano's town centre meanders down to the waterfront, where a profusion of cafes, bars and restaurants sell fresh seafood. The beach air is filled with the perfume of orange, almond blossom and jasmine.

AMALFI: Once the most important trading port in the southern Italy, Amalfi is in the ravine of the Mulini Valley, its churches, towers and arcaded houses rising above the small harbour. The town's Duomo dominates a long flight of steps and embraces a picturesque piazza stretching to its seafront. A wonderful contrast between fine beaches in front and tall cliffs behind.

CAPRI: Capri offers panormamic vistas at every turn, picturesque eateries with local seafood and blue grottos hidden under the limestone cliffs. A trip to Capri is ideal for a one-day excursion from Sorrento with the hydrofoil. Capri is, unquestionably, the holiday princess of the Italian islands: idyllic and rugged with its shimmering Blue Grotto and cliffs that descend down into the sea. Capri has trendy jewellery shops and designer boutiques.

POMPEII & VESUVIUS: Pompeii is one of the most important Roman archaeological sites in the world and Vesuvius is the only active volcano in Europe. Pompeii and Herculaneum are cities buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and re-discovered in the 18th century. It is possible to drive to 3,200 feet and then trek to its summit to enjoy the mesmerising views of the entire gulf of Naples.

Cathy Roberts Oxfordshire, UK - Villa La Pace
We went with my folks and our 2 toddlers, we had the best week ever staying here. The owners were sooo friendly and helpful and we even all got together one evening to eat pizza and drink wine outside while a pizziola man cooked our dinner for us, he comes highly recommended.
The garden is fully enclosed which helps with the little ones but just need to watch them near the pool obviously :)
We rented a car which is a must really if you have a kids and a buggy to lug around.
Can't fault our holiday at all we will definately go again in the future as we loved it so much.

The Hitchens Bradley, North Yorkshire - Villa La Pace
The position and views from the villa were amazing, the pool and outside areas were excellent. The house was very clean and welcoming however it was a little basic for the amount charged. Satellite TV is advertised but there are no British channels. You need to be a confident driver as the roads are steep and windy. When you enter the gate stop as soon as you are inside or you have to back up a steep slope. Overall a great holiday though

Jane Staindrop, County Durham - Villa La Pace
The villa was everything that we hoped it would be; clean, spacious, well equipped and in the most beautiful, quiet, tranquil location. The owners were delightful and brought us several bottles of their delicious wine! They and their agent, Bruno, could not have been more helpful and attentive.
I would suggest that anyone staying here plans their week carefully as travel is very expensive and the villa is quite remote. Once we discovered the inexpensive local bus service to Sant Agnello getting around proved a little easier. Pompei, Vesuvius and Herculaneum are all accessible via this service and then train - very easy. Car hire is probably best for exploring the Amalfi coast and this will cost a lot so make the most of the hire period!
The mini-market at the top of the hill is fantastic as is the pizzeria 'Stelluchia' where the staff are lovely, the food is excellent and good value.
We would certainly make a return visit.

The Surrey gang, Surrey UK - Villa La Pace
We had a lovely 2 weeks in August staying at this villa. The gardens and pool are beautiful and our children (aged 10, 7 and 7) had a great time. They enjoyed picking tomatoes and grapes from the garden. The villa itself is quite basic. The owners were very helpful and gave us lots of advice about day trips, boat trips, etc. The beaches were very busy so we spent lots of time around the pool, a lovely relaxing holiday!

Eric and BonnieAcworth, Georgia, USA - Villa La Pace
We spent a wonderful week at this villa (June 5-12, 2010). The property itself and the views are spectacular. The owners, Michele and Tina, were excellent hosts and made us feel welcome immediately. We are a family of three generations, including three children (ages, 15, 9 and 2) and found this to be comfortable for all. The pool was a favorite of all of us and the gardens were not only beautiful, but provided room for the children to play as well. Dinner at their new table under the gazebo was a perfect end to the day. We had arranged through the rental agency to hire a pizzaiolo to come one evening and we were delighted when this turned out to be Michele and Tina who produced wonderful pizzas for us in the villa’s outdoor pizza oven. It was the highlight of our stay! Especially the Nutella dessert pizza! Our hosts were most generous. Although no vegetables were ready at the time of our visit, they shared ripe cherries and lemons from their trees with us. A car is a must if you stay here but you will not regret choosing this villa. We would love to return.
