Out of an idea of the family’s grandfather Giuseppe Guida, the history of one of the first restaurants in Positano, La Taverna del Leone, begins just outside the town in 1965.
At the entrance lies the Lion, the King of our food and an inspirer of our dishes.
With our ideas we do try to satisfy our guests’ senses, offering light and tasty dishes while respecting the greatest of freshness.
Although 40 years have passed, we still have the same enthusiasm as we once did and we continue the the desire to enhance our creativity.
Four wide and comfortable rooms in the fresh air of the Amalfi Coast, where Mr. and Mrs. Guida are ready to make you feel part of their family, even if it is only for a few days!

It was a fantastic weekend. Everything went well and we are very happy, the choices Alfonso helped us to make ensured we had a great time.
The property is very beautiful and scenic, also we enjoyed brilliant sunshine and warmth. The rooms were beautiful and even the breakfast buffet had a huge choice of both sweet and savoury food of a high quality.
Me and my brother, Andrew, didn't think twice about diving into the sea after the long flight of steps to reach the beach.
I have no words to describe the restaurant: EXCELLENT, PROFESSIONAL AND NICE FOOD SIMPLY SUPERB. They even gave us a great discount on the price, which surprised us all.
I thank you again Alfonso for everything you did for us, it was a weekend that will remain in the history of our family.
