At Casa del Nido you will only be a few steps away from the centre of Sorrento, therefore having a car is not a necessity but, in case you have one, there is parking space available. We can provide discounted car hire for guests at Casa del Nido.
Shops and restaurants are 100 metres (328 feet) away, the main bus stop is in Piazza Tasso, 700 metres (about 2,297 feet) away and the railway station is 800 metres (about 2,625 feet) away.
By staying at Casa del Nido you will be in a central position to discover Sorrento and the incomparable beauty of the entire Coast of Sorrento and Amalfi, of Capri, Ischia and the other islands of the Gulf of Naples.
From Sorrento it is possible to take day trips with fast, comfortable ferries to Capri and the other islands of the Gulf, to Naples, Positano, Amalfi and Salerno.
Moreover, if you are fond of archaeology, from Sorrento you will be able to easily reach Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum by train.
The towns along the coast are connected by the efficient and inexpensive Sita bus network.
If you are fond of hiking, along the mountains of the two coasts (the Amalfi Coast and the Sorrento Coast) you will find marked hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty. The trails unravel among steep drops down to the sea and seascapes of indescribable beauty: the exclusive prize for those who are able to get there! It will definitely be an unforgettable stay!

Sorrento offers wonderful views of the entire bay of Naples and the Island of Capri. There are beautiful beaches, bars surrounding Piazza Tasso, great shops and a fragrant citrus purfume from near-by trees.Sorrento has narrow streets and quiet squares, like Piazza Tasso which is brimming with excellent restaurants, bars and cafés. There are many trendy shops from one-off boutiques to top names including Max Mara, Gucci and Armani. From Sorrento you can take coaches or hovercrafts to Amalfi, Positano, Ischia and Capri.

With its 42 kilometre stretch of gently sloping coastline and white pebbled-beaches, the Amalfi Coast is an 'earthly paradise' with breathtaking beauty.

AMALFI COAST: One of Italy's most spectacular coastlines begins after Sorrento, runs through Positano and continues until it reaches Amalfi. Looking along the tall cliffs and down into the sapphire sea, takes your breath away.

POSITANO: A vibrant village with narrow, colourful buildings which cascade like a waterfall down a vertiginous hill to the sea. Positano's town centre meanders down to the waterfront, where a profusion of cafes, bars and restaurants sell fresh seafood. The beach air is filled with the perfume of orange, almond blossom and jasmine.

AMALFI: Once the most important trading port in the southern Italy, Amalfi is in the ravine of the Mulini Valley, its churches, towers and arcaded houses rising above the small harbour. The town's Duomo dominates a long flight of steps and embraces a picturesque piazza stretching to its seafront. A wonderful contrast between fine beaches in front and tall cliffs behind.

CAPRI: Capri offers panormamic vistas at every turn, picturesque eateries with local seafood and blue grottos hidden under the limestone cliffs. A trip to Capri is ideal for a one-day excursion from Sorrento with the hydrofoil. Capri is, unquestionably, the holiday princess of the Italian islands: idyllic and rugged with its shimmering Blue Grotto and cliffs that descend down into the sea. Capri has trendy jewellery shops and designer boutiques.

POMPEII & VESUVIUS: Pompeii is one of the most important Roman archaeological sites in the world and Vesuvius is the only active volcano in Europe. Pompeii and Herculaneum are cities buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and re-discovered in the 18th century. It is possible to drive to 3,200 feet and then trek to its summit to enjoy the mesmerising views of the entire gulf of Naples.

More information about  Casa del Nido
At the complex you will find the main house, where there are two holiday apartments (Casa Taiano and Casa Ale) and three cottages (Villino Paradise, Casa del Nido and Casa di Tony).
Each accommodation has its outdoor private space furnished with a table, chairs, an umbrella and deck chairs. Moreover, every guest at Casa del Nido will have a large and beautiful shared swimming pool at their disposal.
The garden is a typical garden from Sorrento, where lemon and orange trees are cultivated. It is a garden filled with colours and intense perfumes: all among the green and shiny crowns of lemon and orange trees with their yellow and orange fruits reflecting their colours like sun-like little spheres.
If you come in May, you will find the citrus trees at property and all over Sorrento in bloom: the sweet and intense perfume spreads from gardens and takes over streets, regardless of any traffic there might be. As an old Neapolitan song goes, "it's that scent, which along the sky and the sea of Sorrento, grants us joy to live and willingness to sing!"
Around the swimming pool, you will also find a green lawn rich in citrus trees, sun loungers and umbrellas. The swimming pool is 9 x 5 metres (30 x 16 feet) and is open from Easter to the end of October.
Casa del Nido is a cottage surrounded by a garden. The lawn by the house has a table with chairs. From the garden, you can access the living room, where you will find a dining table, kitchenette and an area with armchairs so you can watch satellite TV.
The kitchenette is spacious and comfortable and is equipped with a four-burner stove, an oven, a fridge with freezer and a washing machine.
A small area leads you to the three double bedrooms and the bathroom with shower. The bedrooms have windows with a view to the garden.
The house features pleasant and elegant furnishings.

You can enjoy a wonderful holiday and really appreciate the beautiful landscapes, the fascinating scents, the ancient tastes and traditions and the exciting culture which make this part of the coast one of the most precious pearls of the Mediterranean!
